Prayer for the Pope

Let us pray for our Holy Father. May the Lord preserve him, and give him life, and make him blessed upon the earth, and deliver him not to the will of his enemies.

O God, shepherd and ruler of all the faithful, look in mercy on your servant the Pope, whom you have set as pastor over your Church. Grant that by word and example he may edify those in his care, so that together with the flock entrusted to him he may come to everlasting life. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
